Role Description

The Site QC/QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality assurance and quality control of all activities related to steel space frame fabrication and erection. The role focuses on implementing inspection systems, verifying standards, and ensuring all materials, welds, bolts, and alignments meet client and company quality specifications.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably involving structural or architectural spaceframes.
  • Review and interpret project specifications, ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), and method statements.
  • Prepare quality documentation, inspection checklists, and traceability records.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams for approvals and inspection clearances.
  • Conduct inspection of raw materials and fabricated components prior to erection.
  • Verify material certificates, dimensions, and surface finish against approved drawings and standards.
  • Ensure proper material identification, tagging, and storage practices at site.
  • Monitor space frame assembly, bolting, and welding works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and tolerances.
  • Understanding of QA/QC systems, ITPs, and NDT techniques.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and report documentation.
  • Knowledge of IS / AWS / ASTM standards related to steel structures.
