Structural Engineer – Social Infrastructure DPR Projects

Position Title:
Structural Engineer

Location:
Work From Home (with intermittent field/site visits if required)

Experience Required:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

Educational Qualifications

  • Graduate in Civil Engineering.
  • Post-graduate degree in Structural Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide structural design and engineering inputs for
    Social Infrastructure DPR projects
    (schools, hospitals, community centers, sanitation facilities, water supply structures, etc.).
  • Review and finalize structural designs, drawings, and detailed estimates.
  • Carry out structural analysis and ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, and applicable international standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other specialists to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Assess foundation design, load calculations, earthquake-resistant design, and durability aspects.
  • Prepare design basis reports, structural BOQs, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct review of DPR deliverables (draft and final reports) from a structural perspective.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and support capacity building.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in structural engineering design for buildings and social infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of IS codes, IRC standards, and international guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience in DPR preparation for
    social infrastructure projects
    .
  • Experience in both government and donor-funded assignments.
  • Familiarity with sustainable and disaster-resilient design practices.
