About the Role

We are seeking a skilled
DB2 Developer
with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in database management and development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining DB2 databases to support our business applications and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain DB2 database objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, triggers).
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with application developers to design efficient database solutions.
• Ensure database integrity, security, backup, and recovery.
• Monitor database performance and provide proactive solutions to prevent issues.
• Participate in requirement analysis and provide technical recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience working with
  IBM DB2
  databases.
• Strong proficiency in
  SQL, PL/SQL
  , and query optimization techniques.
• Experience in
  database performance tuning and troubleshooting
  .
• Good understanding of
  database design, normalization, and data modeling
  .
• Hands-on experience with
  backup, recovery, and security management
  .
• Exposure to
  Unix/Linux environments
  and shell scripting is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with
  mainframe DB2 (z/OS)
  or
  DB2 LUW
  (Linux, Unix, Windows).
• Knowledge of other databases (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) for cross-platform projects.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
