Job Title:  Apps DBAJob Summary:The Oracle Apps DBA is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle E-Business Suite environments. This role involves leading a team of DBAs, managing database operations, ensuring high availability, and supporting application development and deployment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Configuration:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle E-Business Suite (11i, R12.1, R12.2) and Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c).

  • Set up and manage RAC, Data Guard, and Oracle Exadata environments.

  • Maintenance & Support:

  • Perform patching, cloning, backup, and recovery operations.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues across application, database, and concurrent manager tiers.

  • Manage SRs with Oracle Support and ensure timely resolution.

  • Automation & Scripting:

  • Develop and maintain Shell, Perl, and PL/SQL scripts for automation, monitoring, and reporting.

  • Security & Compliance:

  • Implement and enforce database security policies.

  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards and audit requirements.

  • Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of DBAs.

  • Define and enforce database standards and best practices.

  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams.

  • Performance Tuning:

  • Optimize SQL queries, database parameters, and application performance.

  • Conduct capacity planning and performance benchmarking.

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with at least 4 years in Oracle Apps DBA roles.
  • Expertise in Oracle EBS architecture, AD utilities (adpatch, adop, adadmin), and cloning procedures .
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and OEM.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus.
  • Excellent scripting skills (Shell, Perl, PL/SQL).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
