We are seeking a skilled FPGA Design Engineer to join our hardware engineering design team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing FPGA-based solutions for high-performance digital systems. This role requires strong expertise in RTL design, hardware description languages, FPGA toolchains, and debugging methodologies. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including system architects, hardware engineers, and embedded software developers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and verify FPGA logic using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog
  • Work on FPGA development lifecycle: requirements analysis, architecture design, coding, simulation, synthesis, place & route, and on-target validation
  • Develop testbenches and perform functional & timing simulation
  • Optimize FPGA designs for performance, area, and power
  • Integrate FPGA modules with SoCs, processors, and peripheral interfaces (PCIe, DDR, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, etc.)
  • Maintain design documentation, test reports, and compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with firmware/software teams to ensure smooth system integration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong proficiency in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA toolchains (Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, Lattice Diamond, etc.)
  • Knowledge of simulation tools (ModelSim, QuestaSim, VCS, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals, timing analysis, clock domain crossing, and memory interfaces
  • Experience in debugging and lab-based validation
  • Familiarity with communication protocols (AXI, AMBA, SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, Ethernet, etc.)
