Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Typically 5-8+ years of strong experience with Salesforce development; some roles ask for more. Cognizant
  • Deep hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, Visualforce.
  • Strong declarative skills: flows, validation, rules, dashboards, reports. Salesforce+1
  • In-depth understanding of Salesforce org architecture, security model (profiles/roles/permission sets/sharing rules), governor limits. Salesforce+2Cognizant Careers+2
  • Experience integrating with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs), middleware, or external services. Salesforce+2Cognizant Careers+2
  • Familiarity with version control (Git or similar), CI/CD, development/deployment tools (e.g. Salesforce DX).
  • Strong problem solving, debugging skills, ability to optimize performance.
