Position Overview:

We are hiring a Residential Education Counsellor & Home Tutor to live with a reputed family in Itanagar and take charge of the academic and personality development of a UKG student at home. This role also requires remote academic monitoring of three additional children studying across different classes and boards in boarding schools or other cities.

The candidate must have strong counselling skills and a genuine ability to connect with children, especially in forming a nurturing and trustworthy bond with the youngest child. The role demands seriousness, confidentiality, commitment, and a results-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities:1. Home Tutoring & Personality Development (UKG Student):

- Daily academic assistance aligned with school syllabus and teaching methodology.
- Full involvement in the child's routine—academic, emotional, and behavioural.
- Actively engage in activities that support early learning, curiosity, and confidence.
- Build a personal rapport, guiding the child with warmth and structure.
- Act as a mentor and companion for personality development, etiquette, and values.

2. Educational Monitoring of Other Children:

- Class 6 – International Board (Boy)
- Class 11 – ISC (Girl)
- Class 12 – CBSE (Girl with special needs)
Duties include:
- Monitoring academic progress, school updates, exam timelines, and performance.
- Coordinating with teachers and reviewing assignments, reports, and evaluations.
- Offering counselling support or academic planning wherever necessary.
- Keeping parents updated with timely, honest, and strategic inputs for intervention.

3. Academic Planning & Counselling:

- Develop structured learning schedules and academic progress plans.
- Use tools like educational charts, worksheets, or digital learning support.
- Encourage values like discipline, empathy, critical thinking, and time management.
- Understand and respond to emotional or psychological needs with sensitivity and skill.

4. Communication & Coordination:

- Maintain open communication with the family and school representatives.
- Keep records of children's milestones, challenges, and developmental goals.
- Suggest external support (if needed) for learning gaps or behavioural needs.

Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–4 years of practical experience in teaching, academic counselling, or education strategy.
- Strong interpersonal and counselling skills, with the ability to gain the trust of children.
- Must be mature, respectful, emotionally stable, and discreet in handling personal matters.
- Candidates from outside Arunachal Pradesh are strictly preferred.
- Must be willing to live full-time with the family in Itanagar and maintain professional discipline.
