Role & responsibilities

Below are the key responsibilities of the Business Analyst:

1. Business Analysis & Requirement Engineering


• Engage with business and IT stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze functional and non-functional requirements.

Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and AS-IS/TO-BE process mapping.


• Develop comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and User Stories with clear acceptance criteria.

2. Application & Solution Architecture Alignment


•Work closely with Solution Architects to ensure business requirements are aligned with enterprise architecture principles.


• Participate in evaluating and recommending application frameworks, platforms, and tools that align with the business needs and IT strategy.

  • Support in defining system integration points, data flow, and functional architecture across enterprise applications.


• Contribute to the identification of reusable components and services in line with service-oriented and modular design principles.

3. Solution Design Collaboration

  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical solution designs with support from architecture and development teams

• Validate solution blueprints and logical architecture to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Assist in evaluating system performance, scalability, and maintainability implications of business requirements.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the interface between business users, developers, and architects to ensure common understanding and alignment.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate solution walkthroughs and sign-offs at each stage.

5. Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Support test case design based on requirement traceability.


• Lead business users during UAT and ensure that the developed solution meets business and technical specifications.

6. Project Delivery Support


• Assist project managers in scope definition, impact assessment, and effort estimation.

  • Monitor BA deliverables, identify potential risks, and suggest mitigation strategies.

7. Data & Process Analysis

  • Perform data analysis to support decision-making, gap analysis, and validation of system behavior.


• Document process flows, business rules, and system interactions using BPMN/UML. 8. Develop Solution Proposals:


• Collaborate closely with the BD team to understand client requirements and business objectives.

  • Translate these needs into tailored technical solutions, help in preparing detailed solution proposals, presentations, and supporting documentation that align with client expectations \and organizational capabilities.
  • Communicate any possible leads to BD team

Preferred candidate profile

Strong business and systems analysis expertise with understanding of enterprise scale IT environments.


• Experience with at least one enterprise-grade application architecture (ERP/CRM/Portals).


• Familiarity with SDLC models, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Understanding of integration protocols, APIs, and middleware concepts.


• Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, BPMN tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Good communication skills and stakeholder management
