Ø To give all attention to patient on desk and answer all his questions to his satisfaction.
Ø To follow the orders given by the O.P.D in charge
Ø To attend to the phone call for the OPD appointment
Ø Managing the OPD appointments
Ø Map data required for Quality Indicators for OPD
Ø Collecting and handing over the cash to the accounts dept.
Ø Daily Reporting to the O.P.D. In charge
Ø Implementation of Policies and Procedures of the hospital. Participation in mock drills.
Ø Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of services delays.
Ø Comforts patients by anticipating patients 'anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
Ø Ensures availability of treatment information by filling and retrieving patient records.
Ø Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
Ø Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information; recording and collecting patient charges; controlling credit extended to patients, filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
