**Reporting To:** General Manager / Director of Operations

**Job Summary:**

The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance, safety, and efficient operation of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil systems in the hotel. The role ensures that all equipment and facilities are functioning optimally to support smooth hotel operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Supervise and manage all maintenance activities related to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and civil systems.

* Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and hotel facilities.

* Ensure the proper functioning of power supply, water systems, fire safety, elevators, and lighting.

* Coordinate with external contractors, suppliers, and vendors for maintenance and repair works.

* Maintain records of maintenance activities, utility consumption, and equipment performance.

* Monitor energy efficiency and implement measures to reduce wastage and operational costs.

* Lead, train, and supervise the engineering and maintenance team to ensure high performance and safety compliance.

* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and safety standards (fire safety, pollution control, etc.).

* Prepare annual maintenance budgets and control departmental expenses.

* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.

* Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and identify areas for improvement.

**Requirements:**

* Degree/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

* Minimum 5–10 years of experience in hotel engineering or facilities management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/Chief Engineer role.

* Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and fire safety equipment.

* Familiarity with statutory requirements and preventive maintenance procedures.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.

Pay: ₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
