Job Summary:
We're looking for a hands-on, technically savvy Director of Network Services—a no-nonsense leader who's not afraid to roll up his sleeves and dive into the details. You'll lead a regional team responsible for the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of network infrastructure, but you don't just delegate: you get things done. If you have a bias for action, a strong technical background and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, you might be the guy we're looking for. You'll drive operational excellence, foster true collaboration, and ensure our network infrastructure is robust, efficient, and aligned with organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Hands-On Leadership & Technical Ownership:

  • Lead a regional team overseeing the full lifecycle of network infrastructure—including design, deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization—while ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Take full ownership of network services, driving initiatives from conception to completion with a strong, results-oriented, and "get it done" mindset.
  • You will not be the technical expert, but you are also not afraid to get into the weeds and solve problems side-by-side with your team.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, acting as the primary point of contact for all things network-related.
  • Mentor, develop, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and direct feedback.

Operational Excellence:

  • Collaborate closely with other engineering and operations teams, actively participating in the design and deployment of scalable network solutions that meet real business needs.
  • Establish, refine, and—when necessary—overhaul processes to streamline workflows, boost productivity, and improve the quality of network services.
  • Continuously review and update policies, procedures, and documentation to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, holding yourself and your team accountable for results and driving continuous improvement.

Customer Focus & Collaboration:

  • Work directly with cross-regional teams to share best practices and rapidly solve complex challenges.
  • Demonstrate a customer-obsessed, pragmatic mindset, ensuring network services consistently meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
  • Organize and participate in vendor reviews to address issues, seize opportunities, and keep partners accountable.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of taking initiative, driving results, and delivering real outcomes—no hand-waving, action.
  • Strong, hands-on expertise in networking and telecommunications, with direct experience in design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with network automation (Python, Ansible, etc.) or software development.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while managing multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience managing and developing teams with a focus on performance and career growth.
  • Exceptional communication skills, direct and clear, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse teams and locations.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, proactively solve problems, and remove roadblocks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing programs and initiatives with measurable, data-driven outcomes.
  • Familiarity with data center networking, cloud-based technologies, and hybrid environments.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and projects using KPIs and metrics to measure success and drive accountability.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments—able to be a great product owner, but also run daily stand-ups, participate in sprint planning, and use tools like Jira or similar.
  • Strong business acumen—the ability to align technical solutions with real organizational goals.
