This is a sales role for individuals who are passionate about sales and driven to elevate their careers to the next level. The Lead Business Development Consultant will be primarily focused on achieving individual sales targets and driving new business growth, while also playing a supportive leadership role in mentoring team members and contributing to strategic departmental initiatives.

Role Overview

As a Lead Business Development Consultant, you will play a central role in driving Manatal's growth by acquiring new clients and expanding our customer base. While the core of this position focuses on your individual performance in identifying, engaging, and closing new opportunities, you will also contribute to the success of the broader business development team by providing mentorship, sharing best practices, and assisting with team development and strategic initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a performance-driven environment, demonstrates strong sales acumen, and is ready to take on additional leadership responsibilities within a fast-growing SaaS organization.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and target potential new clients through multichannel outbound strategies, including cold calls, emails, and social media outreach.
  • Conduct initial qualification of leads and set up meetings and product demonstrations for our customer success team management.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects.
  • Identify best practices to refine the company's lead generation playbook.
  • Monitor competition, economic indicators, and industry trends.
  • Manage relationships with key principals through frequent communication and reporting, emphasizing updates on product market situations and development.
  • Maintain detailed records of outreach activities, client interactions, and feedback in the CRM.
  • Stay updated on Manatal's product offerings, competitor landscape, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly outreach and lead generation targets.
  • Support the training, onboarding, and development of new business development team members.
  • Assist in managing the business development team's daily performance and objectives.
  • Contribute to strategic departmental projects, including OKRs and new business initiatives.
  • Act as a senior strategic member of the sales organization, bringing insights, leadership, and professional maturity to the team.
  • Other tasks as directed by the CEO or Management.
Requirements
  • 4 years of experience in an outbound sales or business development role.
  • At least 1 year of experience in team leadership or management.
  • Fluent communication in English.
  • Additional languages (Spanish) is a big plus.
  • Demonstrated success in a B2B sales environment.
  • Prior experience with software solution sales or within the recruitment industry is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and qualifying leads.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM and prospecting tools and implementing AI prompts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members.
