Job Description:

We are looking for a qualified accounting professional preferably in the insurance sector, to manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles under GAAP principles. The ideal candidate will have expertise in expense accounting, reinsurance, investments, and tax, and will be responsible for preparing financial statements, regulatory reporting, audit support, and resolving accounting issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage statutory and GAAP accounting close cycles.
  • Prepare draft financial statements, reporting schedules, disclosures, and regulatory returns.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting and data flow issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant, CPA, CFA, or equivalen; or B.Com with practical reporting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial systems.
  • Experience in insurance accounting and regulatory reporting preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
