Support Engineer - Cybersecurity & Linux (Mid-Level)

Job Description

We are seeking a mid-level Support Engineer with hands-on experience in cybersecurity and Linux systems. The ideal candidate will support enterprise clients, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist in deploying secure IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 technical support for cybersecurity and backup solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Linux-based systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL).

  • Deploy, configure, and support:

  • Trend Micro XDR (Extended Detection & Response)

  • Carbonite Endpoint & Server Backup
  • MailStore Server (Email Archiving)

  • Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) Solutions

  • Monitor system logs and alerts for security incidents.

  • Assist in patch management and vulnerability assessments.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for solution deployment and client onboarding.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in technical support or system administration.
  • Strong Linux troubleshooting and command-line skills.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and tools.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, VPN).
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Excellent communication and client-handling skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Linux+, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Exposure to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Scripting knowledge (Bash, Python) is a plus.
