Job Title: Plant Head – Human Resources
Location: Dahej, Gujarat

Reports To: Plant Head

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Head – Human Resources to lead the HR function at our manufacturing facility in Dahej. This position will act as a strategic business partner to the Plant Head and leadership team, ensuring HR strategies and practices are aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in HR operations, industrial relations, compliance, talent management, and building a people-first culture in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Business Partnership
- Align HR initiatives with business objectives in partnership with plant leadership.
- Drive culture-building, employee engagement, and change management programs.
Talent Acquisition & Management
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for all plant roles.
- Develop and execute effective onboarding and induction processes.
Industrial & Employee Relations
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations; manage union relationships and grievances.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and manage statutory requirements.
- Negotiate wage agreements and handle collective bargaining if required.
Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Ensure 100% compliance with applicable labor laws and statutory regulations (Factories Act, ESIC, PF, Labor Welfare Fund, etc.).
- Liaison with government authorities and external stakeholders.
Learning & Development
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training initiatives for employees and workers.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Performance Management
- Lead annual goal setting and performance review processes.
- Support managers in handling performance issues and implementing corrective actions.
HR Operations
- Maintain HR MIS and oversee payroll coordination, attendance, and leave management.
- Manage contract labor and ensure contractor compliance with statutory norms.
Required Qualifications:
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent (from a reputed institution preferred).
- 10–15 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a manufacturing plant setup.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliance, and industrial relations.
- Prior experience handling unionized workforces is desirable.
