Role Description

This full-time on-site role, based in Bengaluru, is for a Manager/Sr.Engineer – Operations & Maintenance. Responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities, managing project activities, supervising teams to ensure smooth functioning, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining strong relationships with customers to address their concerns and requirements efficiently.

  • Overseeing the entire treatment process, ensuring it functions smoothly and efficiently.
  • Managing sampling and analysis of water/wastewater to meet quality standards.
  • Monitoring plant equipment and taking corrective actions to address issues.
  • Responding to emergencies and ensuring proper resolution.
  • Implementing and enforcing safety protocols for staff and the surrounding environment.
  • Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
  • Scheduling and overseeing maintenance activities for equipment and infrastructure.
  • Prioritizing and managing work orders for repairs and replacements.
  • Overseeing the work of Operators, Supervisors, Territory Engineers and ensuring adherence to procedures
  • Leading and motivating a team of operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Preparing and managing budgets for operations and maintenance activities.
  • Compiling and submitting reports on plant performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Staying updated on industry regulations and best practices.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

Experience:

5 to 6 years in similar Industry with hands on experience in Water and Wastewater Management Industry such as ETP, STP, WTP, RO and ZLD

Qualifications

  • B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environment Engineering.
  • Proven skills in Operations Management and Maintenance in water or wastewater management systems
  • Strong Team Management skills, including the ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively
  • Proficiency in Customer Service, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills
  • A background in environmental or engineering sectors is advantageous
  • Proficiency in understanding regulatory compliance within the water and wastewater industry
