We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage and optimize mission-critical databases supporting financial applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle technologies and a deep understanding of financial data security, compliance, and performance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c) in production and non-production environments.
  • Monitor database performance, implement tuning strategies, and ensure high availability.
  • Manage backup and recovery processes using RMAN and Data Guard.
  • Implement and maintain database security policies in compliance with financial regulations.
  • Perform database upgrades, patching, and migrations.
  • Collaborate with application teams to support financial systems and resolve database-related issues.
  • Automate routine tasks and maintain documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Ensure disaster recovery readiness and participate in DR drills.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL, RMAN, Data Guard, and OEM.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of financial data structures, transaction processing, and regulatory compliance (e.g., PCI-DSS, RBI guidelines).
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Exadata is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
  • Experience with cloud-based Oracle solutions (OCI, AWS RDS).
  • Exposure to financial applications such as core banking, ERP, or payment systems.
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
