Senior Engineer ELV

Able to design ELV systems for data Centre.

· Design and Coordination for ELV systems from Concept till IFC stage.

· Carry out shop drawing reviews/approvals.

. Prepare design reports, feasibility studies, and tender documents.

. Supporting team members and Monitor work progress.

. Active participation in IST stage(Including L1 to L3 stages of Testing and Commissioning activities as and when it is required)

· Material selection reviews/approvals

· To produce designs for Data Centre ELV systems including BMS/CMS, SMS, Fire Protection System and ICT's ensuring they meet the specific needs and requirements of the data center.

· To produce specifications for a critical part of ELV installations.

· Create and issue ELV systems specifications to contractors.

· To develop the ELV systems including developing all necessary drawings, technical submissions, calculations, and descriptions of the operation to construction standard.

· To liaise with all sub-contractors and ensure that all drawings are issued with all required information.

· To check and approve material submittals with respect to Technical Design

· Keeping in regular contact with existing customers

· Following up on quotations, queries & enquiries.

· Study tender documents and understand client requirements to be able to put together the technical response to tender bids, proposals and quotations.

· Evaluate client inquiries, specifications and drawings

· Formulate technical and commercial responses with assistance and guidance from other departments as required

· Attend client, supplier and third-party meetings on and off site as necessary.

· Work closely with Design Department to hand over contracts won by the company. Oversee the Design process, ensuring that quality standards are met.

· Understanding/knowledge of electrical & mechanical equipment, financial aspects and technical risk.

. Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in ELV systems to ensure the data center remains at the forefront of technology.

· Report and communicate activities effectively and appropriately.

· Follow up after tender submission involving tender correspondence and coordination with clients

· Engage directly with consultancy (Data Centre audits, best practice etc.)

· Act as design lead on consultancy and data Centre design projects

· Support the business across its full professional services offering (Design, Consultancy, Site Supervision, Testing & Commissioning and Auditing)

· Conduct site assessments and surveys to determine the ELV system requirements, taking into account factors like space, layout, and potential risk.

· Develop critical systems including developing all necessary drawings, technical submissions, calculations and descriptions of operation to construction standard and implementation of the ELV systems.

· To liaise with all subcontractors and ensure that all drawings are issued with all required information.

· To check and approve material submittals with respect to Technical Design

· Following on site consultancy, prepare reports, present findings and provide a road map for change (appropriately detailing level of risk and opportunity for improvement)

· Work together with Principal consultant/Design Manager of the India/Middle East and other company departments to develop innovative solutions

· Work closely with other areas of the business and key staff to overcome complex client requirements

· Manage client key accounts successfully and exceed client expectation and response time to queries and tasks.

Candidate Experience and Qualifications

· Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Degree/Diploma or Similar

· 07+ years of Data Centre infrastructure (ELV) experience

· Excellent work ethic and proactive individual

· Capable of working under own initiative and as part of a team

· · Good communicator, both in writing, on the telephone and face to face with customers

· Excellent English skills -written and verbal

· Able to design complete Data Centre ELV systems

· Good numeracy skills

· Competent in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel

· Able to priorities tasks and manage time, to meet tight project deadlines

· Good technical and proposals and submittals management

· Good technical review ability

· Ensure smooth management of the pre-sales and design projects

· Ability to carry out site surveys and develop concepts to schematic designs.

· CAD/Revit proficiency

· Working knowledge of Uptime Tiers & TIA 942-B/C – ATD not essential but beneficial

· Willingness to travel in the region

· Experience with data center testing and commissioning
