UI\UX Designer

Job Description :We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to support the development of advanced desktop, configuration, and mobile tools within the building technology and fire safety domain. The designer will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to create intuitive, modern, and user-centric interfaces for desktop applications (C# / WPF), mobile apps (React Native), and touch-display interfaces. The ideal candidate should have strong visual design capabilities, experience creating engineeringfriendly UI specifications, and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams working in alignment with Central European Time (CET). This is a work-from-office role (EMCUS Bangalore) requiring presence on all working days.

Engagement Model :

• Duration: Initial engagement of 5–8 months, extendable upon mutual agreement.

• Working Hours: 8 hours/day, 5 days/week aligned with Central European Time (CET).

• Model: Body-leasing under client supervision with EMCUS ensuring knowledge retention and replacement coverage.

• Location: EMCUS Bangalore Office – this is a work-from-office position (no remote or work-from-home option).

• Reporting: Daily scrum and progress updates through Jira / MS Teams.

Required Skills :

• Strong proficiency in Figma (primary) with experience in Adobe XD, Illustrator, or Sketch.

• Ability to create high-fidelity UIs, design systems, iconography, and engineeringfriendly layouts.

• Deep understanding of UX heuristics, information architecture, personas, user journeys, and workflow mapping.

• Proven experience designing desktop application UIs (C# / WPF) including complex toolbars, inspectors, and dense data screens.

• Hands-on experience designing UIs for 2D drawings, schematics, visual maps, and editor-based layouts.

• Exposure to 3D visualization UX such as camera controls, object manipulation, layers, zoom/pan/rotate interactions.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD-like tools, engineering editors, or CAD-based visualization workflows (highly preferred).

• Working knowledge of Revit UI/UX, BIM workflows, and integration with floor plans or BIM-based asset visualization.

• Understanding of spatial representation of pipelines, zones, detectors, devices, and building-safety layouts.

• Ability to create developer-ready UI specs for C# / WPF, React Native, and React + Node teams.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, data-driven UI interactions, and dynamic component behavior.

• Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate with CET-aligned international teams with an ownership mindset.

Job Responsibilities :

• Understand product workflows related to desktop system designers, configuration tools, and mobile/touch interfaces.

• Conduct user research, persona creation, journey mapping, and UX discovery for engineering tools.

• Convert requirements into wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and polished highfidelity screens.

• Create modern, intuitive UI layouts for C# / WPF desktop applications, respecting productivity-focused UX patterns.

• Design mobile application screens for React Native–based apps.

• Create pixel-perfect UI assets and specifications for engineering teams.

• Consider UX needs for technical users, such as installers, commissioning engineers, and technicians.

• Incorporate usability patterns suitable for BIM/Revit-integrated workflows, dataheavy screens, and configuration dashboards.

• Prepare detailed design handover documentation for developers.

• Work closely with product owners and engineers to refine UX flows.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, daily stand-ups, and design reviews.

• Iterate designs based on feedback from international teams.

• Ensure consistency across all platforms using well-defined design systems
