Job Description – Software Developer (WordPress + HTML) Location: Noida Experience: 1 to 3 YearsRole Summary & Key Objectives We are looking for a talented Software Developer (WordPress + HTML) with 1–3 years of experience in building and maintaining websites, web applications, and custom solutions. The role requires hands-on expertise in WordPress development, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, creative, and capable of delivering high-quality code that aligns with design and functional requirements.
Key Objectives: Build and maintain responsive, SEO-friendly websites using WordPress and front-end technologies. Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements. Collaborate with designers and backend developers to deliver seamless user experiences. Ensure code quality, performance, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
Core Responsibilities Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and applications. Create and implement responsive UI/UX using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery. Customize WordPress themes, templates, and plugins as per client requirements. Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices. Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing for consistent user experience. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website and plugin-related issues. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and QA teams for smooth delivery.
Must-Have Skills (Technical & Soft) Technical: Strong knowledge of WordPress (custom themes, plugins, hooks, shortcodes). Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, Bootstrap. Understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility. Basic knowledge of PHP, MySQL for WordPress customization. Familiarity with Git or version control systems. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good communication and collaboration skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proactive attitude with willingness to learn new tools and technologies.
Good-to-Have Skills Knowledge of Elementor, WPBakery, or other page builders. Experience with WooCommerce (setup, customization, optimization). Familiarity with SEO tools (Yoast SEO, Rank Math). Exposure to REST APIs and third-party integrations. Understanding of Agile methodology. Basic knowledge of Photoshop/Figma for working with design files.
Experience Requirements 1–3 years of professional experience in WordPress and front-end development. Proven experience in delivering responsive and high-performing websites. Portfolio of WordPress projects demonstrating skills in customization and development.
KPIs / Success Metrics Timely delivery of websites and features with minimal defects. Website performance benchmarks (loading speed, responsiveness, SEO scores). Client/stakeholder satisfaction with quality and functionality. Number of resolved bugs/issues within SLA timelines. Reusability and maintainability of developed themes and plugins. Contribution to continuous improvement of code standards and best practices.
