We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer

In This Role, You Will

• Design and engineer software with the customer/user experience as a key objective
• Actively contributes to Technology Engineering Practice by sharing Subject Matter Expertise from their area of specialism, best practice and learnings
• Drives adherence to all standards and policies within their area of Technology Engineering.
• Delivery and support of data related infrastructure and architecture to optimise data storage and consumption across the bank, including addressing functional and non-functional requirements relevant to data in large applications.
• Design and develop applications for internal and external users focussing on the interface and front-end usability of the application
• Engineer and implement security measures for the protection of internal and external systems, networks, products and services.
• Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data.
• Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
• Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
• Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience working in a global, corporate environment
• Expertise in complete software development life cycle process which includes requirements analysis, design, development, testing, Implementation, maintenance and support.
• Hands on work experience on any ETL tool Prophecy , IBM DataStage 11.7 etc. experience, DevOps (GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes) tools, Control-M
• Strong technical skills in Python, PySpark Programming, Linux scripting, SQL scripting
• Experience with the databases Delta lake, Postgres and other.
• Rest API integration and Micro services.
• Good exposure on tools including JIRA, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus IQ and Checkmarx, Splunk, elk and Grafana
• Build and managing application deployments using Jenkin CI/CD pipeline and groovy scripting.
• Good exposure of version control tools like CVS, SVN, TFS and Git.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve all environmental and performance related issues in support of multiple environments.
• Ability to work with multiple IT teams located across the globe to provide technical solutions to meet the needs of various business areas.
• Ability to work independently and self-sufficiently on complex assignments
• Ability to learn and apply new toolsets and technologies quickly
• Remain current on technical and professional advances and business strategies regarding area of responsibility
• Self-motivated, adaptive to team environment able to work under pressure and complete complex tasks independently as well as in team.
• Excellent oral, written and visual communication and presentation skills – ability to communicate efficiently at a global level is paramount.
