About the Role

Join our dynamic Data Warehouse team and help the bank leverage data as a strategic asset. As a Lead ETL Developer, youll lead a team of developers to design, develop, and enhance robust data solutions, ensuring adherence to IT SDLC processes. You will collaborate across technology teams to build scalable and secure data systems that power business insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements and data mapping documents into technical design specifications.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain ETL code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Create and execute unit test plans; support regression and system testing efforts.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues identified during testing or production.
  • Collaborate with project teams to communicate status, issues, and blockers.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within data engineering processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide junior developers in project execution.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in ETL development within a Data Warehouse environment.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise data warehousing principles, best practices, and standards.
  • Strong software engineering background with expertise in cloud-based data solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with Python/PySpark, IBM DataStage, and SQL.
  • Proven experience in cloud migration projects on AWS and/or Azure; experience with Snowflake preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Cybersecurity principles, Identity & Access Management, and Authentication/Authorization Services.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certifications such as:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

  • Experience defining future-state data warehouse roadmaps.

  • Prior experience leading development teams within enterprise projects.
  • Domain experience in the banking or financial services industry.
