CSR Fundraising Roles & Responsibilities (2–3 Years Experience)

Fundraising & Proposal Development

  • Identify potential corporate partners, CSR arms, and funding opportunities.
  • Assist in drafting compelling CSR funding proposals, concept notes, and presentations.
  • Support in customizing proposals as per CSR mandates and sectoral focus areas (e.g., education, health, environment).
  • Maintain and update proposal/funding trackers.

Donor Relationship Management

  • Coordinate meetings and communication with existing and potential CSR donors.
  • Maintain donor databases, track interactions, and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Support donor onboarding and MoU/agreement signing processes.

CSR Project Support

  • Liaise with program teams to gather data and impact stories for donor reports.
  • Assist in drafting project reports, utilization certificates, and case studies as per CSR donor requirements.
  • Help ensure program activities align with CSR project goals and timelines.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Assist in preparing interim and final donor reports with program data and financial utilization.
  • Document project outcomes, success stories, and lessons learned for reporting and communication.
  • Ensure timely submission of required documentation to CSR partners.

Events & Campaigns

  • Support planning and execution of CSR-related events, field visits, and donor engagements.
  • Coordinate logistics for corporate volunteering days or donor site visits.

Research & Strategy Support

  • Conduct research on CSR trends, policy changes, and potential funders.
  • Track CSR spending of companies and analyze areas of interest for partnership.
  • Contribute to the development of fundraising strategies and annual targets.

Key Skills Expected

  • Good communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proposal writing and basic budgeting knowledge.
  • Familiarity with CSR laws (like India's Companies Act, 2013 – Section 135).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Qualifications

  • Experience in engaging with Major Donors and managing relationships
  • Strong Communication skills and the ability to articulate the company's mission and goals
  • Background in Philanthropy and Fundraising
  • Experience with Charitable organizations and managing charity work
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field
