JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, FP&A is responsible for providing business and financial advice to TriNet's senior management team through various budgeting and analysis functions. This includes providing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports and analyses for assigned department(s) and/or member(s) of the executive leadership team and serving as liaison to assist them with all their financial needs. The Senior Manager also provides regular support to Finance-related functions, such as accounting during the month end close process. Additionally, the person in this position assists in analyzing strategic endeavors, new business opportunities, long-term forecasting and other ad hoc projects as required. This is a people-manager role with direct reports.

Essential Duties/Responsibilites

  • Maintain and improve global FP&A processes while supporting local GCC hub FP&A operations which requires knowledge of India Taxation and compliance
  • Acts as liaison and provides financial support to business unit functions and members of the management teams.
  • Prepares annual department budgets and develop updated monthly operating expense forecasts based on ongoing business performance
  • Fosters a learning culture within the team focused on coaching, regular feedback, accountability, and development that energizes colleagues.    
  • Reports on actual operating expense results against targets, provides analysis of variances, and assists in guidance on future trends.   
  • Provides support to other Finance departments and functions such as, but not limited to Accounting during month end close process.    
  • Influences strong cross-functional communications and enhances efficiencies by leading teams through process improvement efforts
  • Actively supports ongoing improvement of TriNet's financial, planning and business intelligence systems.    
  • Performs ad hoc financial analysis projects and report preparation as identified by management team.   
  • Ensures highly collaborative engagement with global teams and leaders to ensure functional work, budget management and colleague development reflect exceptional standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience - required
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business - preferred

Work Experience

  • Typically 8+ years as Manager/Senior Manager FP&A - required
  • Typically 5+ years experience in public company reporting - required

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)   and/or Chartered Accountant - required
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) - preferred       

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership skills required.    
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.  
  • Essbase advanced skills required.  
  • Knowledge of Tableau and Anaplan a plus
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.     
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-task, fast-paced environment
  • Able to develop driver-based business case models
  • A demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced constantly evolving business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
