Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data systems. The ideal candidate will drive best practices in data engineering, mentor junior team members, and ensure robust, scalable, and secure data infrastructure for advanced analytics and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and optimize data pipelines, warehouses, and real-time processing systems.
  • Lead initiatives on data quality, governance, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable data solutions.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices and technical design.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, frameworks, and cloud technologies.
  • Monitor and ensure high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency of data platforms.

Role Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering or data infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python/Java/Scala, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Proven experience with big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Flink).
  • Deep knowledge of cloud data services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Hands-on with orchestration and CI/CD tools (Airflow, dbt, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Strong background in data modeling, architecture, and governance.
  • Ability to lead projects, mentor teams, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
