About the Role

We are seeking a Site Supervisor – Electrical Engineer to lead the execution and commissioning of high-voltage electrical systems and smart monitoring devices at Indian Railway project sites. The role combines traditional electrical supervision with next-generation IoT integration, requiring both technical depth and on-ground leadership to ensure safe and reliable project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage electrical equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and control panels.
  • Coordinate installation of IoT-enabled monitoring units, sensors, and gateways for real-time data collection and equipment health monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian Railways' electrical and safety standards, IS/IEC codes, and project-specific specifications.
  • Lead site teams and subcontractors to execute cable laying, earthing, termination, and system integration activities.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning checks, continuity tests, insulation tests, and verification of SCADA/IoT connections.
  • Maintain daily progress reports, site documentation, and update project dashboards.
  • Implement safety procedures (PTW, LOTO, PPE, isolation, earthing) rigorously and organize regular safety toolbox talks.
  • Liaise with project engineers, design teams, and client representatives to ensure on-time, quality delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2–6 years of experience in railway electrification / high-voltage / substation / traction system projects.
  • Hands-on knowledge of 25kV traction systems, transformers, protection systems, and SCADA/IoT interfaces.
  • Understanding of communication protocols (Modbus, DLMS, MQTT) will be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage site teams and enforce electrical safety discipline.
  • Strong documentation and technical reporting skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and stay at project locations across India.
