Job Description: SME/Sr Developer - Snowflake and DBT with Azure
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SME with expertise in Snowflake, DBT (Data Build Tool), and Azure to design, implement, and optimize data solutions. The SME will play a critical role in driving the development of scalable, efficient, and secure data architectures, ensuring seamless integration, and enabling advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities:

•    Solution Design & Architecture:
o    Design end-to-end data solutions leveraging Snowflake, DBT, and Azure services to support business requirements.
o    Define architecture for scalable data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
o    Ensure adherence to best practices for performance optimization, cost efficiency, and security.

•    Data Modeling & Engineering:
o    Develop and implement efficient data models in Snowflake to support reporting, analytics, and advanced use cases.
o    Utilize DBT to build modular, testable, and maintainable transformation workflows.
o    Oversee ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory and other relevant tools.

•    Integration & Collaboration:
o    Integrate Snowflake with Azure services, such as Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Logic Apps, and Power BI.
o    Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into technical solutions.

•    Governance & Compliance:
o    Establish data governance frameworks, including access control, data lineage, and data cataloging.
o    Ensure solutions comply with organizational policies and regulatory standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

•    Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
o    Monitor and fine-tune Snowflake and DBT processes to maintain optimal performance.
o    Troubleshoot issues related to data processing, transformation, and integration.
Required Skills & Experience:

•    Technical Expertise:
o    Strong proficiency in Snowflake architecture, including data sharing, partitioning, clustering, and materialized views.
o    Advanced experience with DBT for data transformations and workflow management.
o    Expertise in Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Azure Functions.

•    Data Engineering:
o    Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
o    Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including star schema and normalization.
o    Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration tools.

•    Soft Skills:
o    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
o    Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
o    Ability to work in agile teams and handle multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:

•    Certifications in Snowflake, DBT, or Azure Data Engineering.

•    Familiar with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.

•    Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for data workflows.
