Core responsibilities
- Customer interaction: Greet customers, understand their needs and preferences, and provide expert advice on vehicle features, specifications, and financing options.
- Sales process management: Guide customers through the entire sales process, including providing detailed information, conducting test drives, negotiating prices, and completing all necessary paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Vehicle expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new and used vehicles in the inventory, along with current market trends and competitor offers.
- Relationship building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Post-sale follow-up: Schedule first service appointments, follow up on post-delivery items, and maintain an owner follow-up system to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Sales target achievement: Work to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and goals set by the dealership.
Key skills and qualifications
- Communication and interpersonal skills: Strong ability to communicate, persuade, and build rapport with customers.
- Product knowledge: A thorough understanding of the vehicles being sold, including their features, benefits, and specifications.
- Negotiation skills: The ability to negotiate prices and financing options to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
- Organizational skills: Managing a schedule, maintaining customer databases, and processing paperwork accurately.
- Motivation: A high level of self-motivation and the ability to perform in a competitive environment.
