We're scaling fast, and we're looking for passionate sales professionals to build our vendor network.
Role Overview
As a Merchant sales executive, you'll be the face of Eventline to vendors. Your job will be to connect with event vendors (both field visits and calls), explain the benefits of joining Eventline, and onboard them onto the app. This role combines sales, relationship building, and onboarding support.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect & Pitch: Identify potential vendors in target categories (catering, décor, photography, DJs, etc.) through market research, references, and on-ground visits.
Sales & Conversion: Call/meet vendors, pitch Eventline as a zero-commission, high-visibility platform, and close onboarding deals.
Explain Benefits Clearly: Articulate why Eventline helps vendors grow—direct customer access, verified leads, no commission cuts, easy profile setup.
Onboarding Support: Guide vendors through profile creation, catalog setup, and pricing details. Assist them until their listing goes live.
Relationship Building: Build long-term trust with vendors by being their first point of contact for queries, support, and upgrades.
Target Achievement: Meet weekly/monthly onboarding and revenue-linked sales targets.
Feedback Loop: Collect insights from vendors about challenges, pricing, and competition—share them with product & marketing teams.
Field Visits: Travel across Tricity to meet vendors in person when required.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication & persuasion skills (Hindi + English).
- Strong local market knowledge of events, F&B, and vendor ecosystem.
- Hunger for sales—target-driven, resilient, and self-motivated.
- Ability to simplify tech (app onboarding, WhatsApp communication).
- Negotiation skills and ability to handle vendor objections.
- Good with basic digital tools (Excel, CRM, WhatsApp Business, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferred, not mandatory if strong sales experience).
- 1–4 years of experience in sales, vendor acquisition, or merchant sales (FMCG, food delivery, events, B2B SaaS, or marketplaces
- Freshers with strong communication skills & hustler attitude are welcome.
