About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven Retail Chain Merchandiser with hands-on experience in the garments industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing product placement, managing stock levels, and enhancing sales performance across multiple retail outlets. This role requires strategic planning, hands-on inventory management, and team development to achieve business goals and deliver exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute sales strategies to meet business targets.
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained.
  • Assist in budgeting, costing, and price management.
  • Manage logistics and supply chain operations for timely replenishment.
  • Oversee inventory management, demand forecasting, and stock verification.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and competitor activity.
  • Support product development, sample approval, and line planning.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and vendors for sourcing and procurement.
  • Lead, train, and motivate sales teams to enhance performance.
  • Monitor sales metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Proven sales acumen with the ability to lead teams to achieve targets.
  • Experience in sales training, team motivation, and performance management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and merchandising tools.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to travel frequently for store audits and inspections.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 – 6 years of experience in retail merchandising within the garments/apparel industry.
  • Educational background in Fashion, Marketing, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
