Job Description:

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be part of a 24*7 team and will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our production systems. You will work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to build robust monitoring, automate operations, and improve system resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Industry Knowledge: Familiar with Financial Services or Settlement Systems.
• IT Service Management Tools: Exposure to tools like ServiceNow & JIRA for incident and task management.
• Infrastructure: Understand IT hardware, networking, operating systems, and Active Directory.
• Web Servers: Configure and support Microsoft IIS or Apache Tomcat.
• Cloud Experience: Work with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Configuration Management: Manage and maintain configuration settings for applications and infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Certificate Management: Handle the issuance, renewal, and management of SSL certificates.
• Databases: Proficient in SQL and database management.
• Scripting: Basic knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, .NET or JavaScript.
• Application Performance/System Monitoring: Ensure high availability and reliability by using either of tools like SolarWinds, AppDynamics, DotCom , Dynatrace, Site24/7, Grafana or NewRelic.
• Middleware Tools: Support middleware and automation tools like ActiveBatch, RabbitMQ, UiPath, and Tibco.
• Infrastructure Design: Assist in designing and maintaining scalable, secure infrastructure.
• Release Management: Implement, Monitor, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaboration: Work with Cross-functional teams for smooth application delivery.
• Security: Follow security best practices and address vulnerabilities.
• 24/7 Support: Provide on-call support for critical issues.
• Continuous Improvement: Enhance system processes, performance, and scalability.
• Knowledge Management: Document and share knowledge effectively (SharePoint & Confluence)
• ITIL Framework: Follow ITIL best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in supporting a portfolio of complex business critical application systems.
• 1-2 years of experience in DevOps or a related role.
• Basic experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of configuration management (IIS Web server or Apache Tomcat).
• Understanding of knowledge management principles and practices.
• Ability to operate within the ITIL framework.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24*7 environment.
