Contract: 6 months extendable based on project requirements

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior AI/ML Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in working with large-scale data systems, advanced machine learning models, and cutting-edge AI technologies. This role requires experience in deploying, monitoring, and scaling AI systems, particularly around Large Language Models (LLMs), conversational AI, and data-driven architectures. You will work with cross-functional teams to build scalable, efficient, and customer-facing AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain machine learning pipelines using Databricks, Notebooks, and Jobs
  • Work with multiple data lakes and ensure efficient data integration and processing
  • Design, implement, and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows
  • Develop and deploy conversational AI solutions using LangChain, LangGraph, and vector databases
  • Integrate and use LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.
  • Write efficient code in Python, using libraries such as pandas, and SQL for data manipulation
  • Build customer-facing chatbot solutions and multi-step workflow agents for decision-making
  • Deploy AI solutions on GCP and integrate with various data lakes and cloud services
  • Implement and manage MLOps/LLMOps pipelines including deployment, monitoring, and scaling
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design advanced prompt engineering strategies and fine-tuning approaches
  • Ensure responsible AI practices including bias detection, explainability, and fairness in models
  • Analyze chatbot interactions to improve intent coverage and user experience

Must-Have Skills

  • Experience with Databricks, notebooks, and job scheduling
  • Strong knowledge of data lakes, data integration, and cloud architectures
  • Working experience with RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, and vector databases
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Python (pandas, SQL) and data processing techniques
  • Experience in chatbot development, customer-facing AI, and conversational interfaces
  • Understanding of multi-step workflows and decision-making processes in AI systems
  • Experience with GCP, deployment, and hosting AI models
  • Knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps for model deployment, monitoring, and scaling

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Expertise in AI prompt engineering, advanced design, and tuning strategies
  • Understanding of fine-tuning versus RAG approaches and when to apply them
  • Experience with Databricks LLM models like Dolly, MosaicML, etc.
  • Familiarity with Responsible AI concepts such as bias mitigation, explainability, and transparency
  • Experience in chatbot analytics, user interaction tracking, and intent mapping
  • Conceptual clarity on virtual assistants vs chatbots vs agents
  • General experience in supervised/unsupervised machine learning
  • Proven track record of deploying and scaling AI systems in production environments
