Join the Azure Core Economics team to explore your interests and make a meaningful impact. This team includes economists, data scientists, and software engineers within Azure Engineering who address a wide range of data-intensive and distributed computing challenges related to cloud economics. These challenges are critical to Microsoft's operations and include areas such as pricing optimization, demand forecasting, capacity planning, fraud detection, and virtual machine bin packing.


The team works closely with other groups across Microsoft to solve these complex problems. Our software engineering team in India contributes to the development of new software products, enhancements, and research incubations that align with the team's mission. As a Software Engineer II, you will help build software solutions that use large-scale data to improve the Azure platform and its customer experience. This role offers exposure to applied economics, engineering, and data science, and provides opportunities to deepen your understanding of cloud economics while developing scalable engineering solutions.
