Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented CAD Design Engineer with 02 years of experience to join our precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical components and assemblies using SolidWorks, preparing detailed 2D drawings, and supporting manufacturing through accurate documentation and process understanding. This role offers hands-on exposure to CNC machining, jigs and fixtures, and CAD-CAM integration in a high-performance manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models and assemblies of precision mechanical parts using SolidWorks
  • Create detailed 2D drawings with proper dimensioning, tolerances, and GD&T annotations
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, revision logs, and drawing archives
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for CNC machining and fabrication
  • Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling for production and inspection processes
  • Apply principles of limits, fits, and tolerances to ensure functional and manufacturable designs
  • Support prototyping, testing, and iterative design improvements
  • Assist in CAD-CAM integration for toolpath generation and machining simulations
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 0–2 years of hands-on experience in CAD design, preferably in precision engineering
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modelling, assemblies, drawings, configurations)
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, limits, fits, and tolerances
  • Familiarity with CNC machining processes and manufacturing constraints
  • Experience in preparing BOMs and engineering documentation
  • Knowledge of jigs, fixtures, and tooling design
  • Passion for CAD-CAM technologies and design automation
  • Good communication and documentation skills

  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of design accuracy
  • Curious and proactive learner with a passion for mechanical design
  • Exposure to reverse engineering or 3D scanning projects
  • Exposure to any CAD-CAM software is a plus
  • Familiarity with shop floor practices and inspection tools is desirable
