Department: Construction / Engineering / Projects

Reports To: Project Manager / Senior Engineer

Job Overview

The Site Engineer is responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising on-site construction activities to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and design specifications. The role involves technical oversight, team coordination, and close collaboration with project management, clients, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve technical and site-related issues.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Supervise site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and task allocation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and maintain accurate records of progress, material usage, and labor deployment.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for submission to project management.
  • Manage resources effectively — materials, equipment, and workforce — to achieve project milestones.
  • Verify and certify work measurements for billing and documentation purposes.
  • Support the Project Manager in scheduling, budgeting, and procurement activities.
  • Identify potential risks and propose mitigation plans to prevent delays or cost overruns.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (as per project type).

Experience:

  • 1–5 years of experience in construction, infrastructure, or related project execution roles.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and codes.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project / Primavera, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (ISO / OSHA) and quality management systems.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to site challenges.

Typical Work Environment

  • Based primarily on-site with occasional office coordination.
  • May involve travel to multiple project sites.
  • Requires adherence to site safety and operational protocols.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
