Overview: The Python Lead plays a crucial role in our organization, leading a team of developers and contributing to the design and implementation of scalable software solutions. This role is essential for ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality Python-based applications and systems.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of Python developers, providing guidance and support in software development projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other technical teams, to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of Python-based applications, ensuring compatibility with enterprise standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
  • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and related frameworks.
  • Optimize and enhance the performance of existing Python code, troubleshooting and debugging as necessary.
  • Implement security and data protection measures within Python applications, following industry best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Python development, recommending and integrating new technologies where applicable.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Contribute to the technical documentation, including system design, requirements, and implementation details.
  • Participate in the recruitment process by conducting technical interviews and assessing potential candidates.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical deliverables.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and sprint planning to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Python development, providing guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of Python developers in an agile environment.
  • Expertise in Python programming and its frameworks, such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop scalable and high-performance Python applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Experience with implementing and optimizing RESTful APIs and microservices using Python.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and their integration with Python applications.
  • Proficiency in using version control systems such as Git for managing codebases and collaborative development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in conducting technical interviews, assessing candidates, and supporting the recruitment process.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure, and their integration with Python-based solutions.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
  • Understanding of security principles and best practices in Python application development.
  • Desire to stay updated with industry trends and advancements, and a proactive attitude towards continuous learning and skill enhancement.
