Hardware & Networking Field Engineer (CCTV & Networking)

The Hardware & Networking Field Engineer will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of CCTV systems, networking equipment, and IT hardware at client sites. The role involves on-site service visits, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring all installations and network setups are completed as per company standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and surveillance networks.
- Perform network setup and configuration (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi).
- Install and troubleshoot computer hardware, printers, and related peripherals.
- Handle cabling work (Ethernet, fiber, CCTV, and structured cabling).
- Configure and maintain IP-based camera systems and ensure remote access setup.
- Conduct network diagnostics to identify connectivity and performance issues.
- Ensure data backup, recording storage management, and proper system functioning.
- Provide preventive maintenance and on-call technical support at client sites.
- Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for hardware replacement or service.
- Maintain service logs, installation reports, and client feedback documentation.
- Assist in IT infrastructure setup during new project rollouts or site expansions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma / B.Tech / B.Sc in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field.
- Experience: 1–4 years in hardware, networking, or CCTV installation and service.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of CCTV installation (IP & analog) and DVR/NVR configuration.
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in LAN/WAN setup, IP addressing, and remote monitoring configuration.
- Knowledge of structured cabling standards and network topology.
- Basic understanding of power supplies, PoE switches, and UPS systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel frequently.
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
Preferred Certifications (Optional):
- CompTIA A+ / Network+
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- Hikvision / CP Plus / Dahua Certified Installer (if applicable)
Work Environment:
- Field-based position with frequent site visits.
- Occasional work during weekends or extended hours for urgent service calls or installations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹9, ₹31,574.39 per month
