Job Description – Team Lead (Frontend/UI/UX Development)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Lead – Frontend/UI/UX Development to lead our frontend and design team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in modern frontend technologies along with a solid understanding of UI/UX design principles. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between design and development, delivering seamless, responsive and user-friendly digital experiences while mentoring and guiding the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of frontend developers and UI/UX designers.
  • Drive the development of responsive, accessible and high-performing web applications.
  • Translate wireframes, prototypes and UI/UX guidelines into clean, functional code.
  • Collaborate with designers, backend developers and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Define and enforce frontend coding standards, design consistency and usability best practices.
  • Conduct regular design and code reviews, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks and UX trends to keep the team innovative.
  • Manage project timelines, delegate tasks and ensure successful execution of projects.
  • Advocate for user-centric design and improve user experiences across all platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Design or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in frontend/UI/UX development with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, jQuery.
  • UI/UX: Wireframing, prototyping, user flows, responsive layouts, accessibility.
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue (at least working knowledge).
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience in design systems and component libraries.
  • Knowledge of SEO-friendly development practices.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project methodologies.
