GENERAL SUMMARY

The Underwriting Assistant will be based at our newly set up office in GIFT City, providing underwriting support and business development for all classes of business within India & South Asian region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data entry of policy information into underwriting systems and related administrative work.
  • Timely and accurate handling of underwriting support work assigned.
  • Ensure adherence to record management standards.
  • Actively follow-up Aged Debtors/outstanding premium collections.
  • Liaison with cedant / brokers as per requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Specifications:

  • Insurance-related experience is an advantage.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Good team player with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in English speaking and writing.

Education:

  • Tertiary Education or equivalent

Experience:

  • Fresh University graduate or minimum of 2-3years of underwriting support experience in Property, Construction and Energy would be an added advantage.
