Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and secure databases for large-scale digital

platforms. The role involves overseeing database design, query optimization, data migration, and integration with cloud-based

services. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MySQL and AWS DynamoDB, strong skills in SQL development, and the ability to ensure data integrity, performance, and availability across production and reporting environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL and DynamoDB) for scalable and high-availability

    applications.
  • Develop, optimize, and tune complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data retrieval logic for performance and efficiency.
  • Manage database migrations, schema updates, and version control between development, staging, and production

    environments.
  • Monitor database health, performance metrics, and query execution plans using AWS and open-source monitoring tools.
  • Ensure data consistency, security, and backup/recovery mechanisms in line with government data policies and CERT-In

    advisories.
  • Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to design data access patterns, indexes, and caching strategies for real-time

    operations.
  • Support ETL processes and assist in data preparation for reporting and analytics layers.
  • Assist in the creation of real-time dashboards and analytics views, enabling data-driven monitoring and insights.
  • Automate regular maintenance tasks such as backups, archiving, and cleanup using scripts and AWS utilities.
  • Participate in performance testing, audit reviews, and system hardening exercises.
  • Maintain database documentation, including data models, schema diagrams, and migration logs.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator or SQL Developer in large-scale environments.
  • Strong command of MySQL, including schema design, indexing, partitioning, and replication.
  • Experience with AWS DynamoDB, including data modeling, query optimization, and integration with AWS services.
  • Expertise in query optimization, database performance tuning, and resource utilization analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL scripting, ETL workflows, and data migration planning.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services (RDS, S3, Lambda, Glue, CloudWatch) and DevOps practices for database deployment.
  • Working knowledge of data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Metabase, or similar) for operational

    analytics.
  • Strong understanding of data security, encryption, and backup strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
