General Overview of the Role

The Relationship Manager – Life insurance will be responsible for building and managing relationships with channel partners, ensuring smooth business acquisition, and driving sales of credit life insurance products. The role requires excellent communication, networking, and business development skills to achieve sales targets while maintaining strong client satisfaction and long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Generate leads through in-branch lead generators, walk-in customers, and the bank's customer database.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline to consistently achieve assigned targets.

2. Client Consultation & Needs Assessment

  • Interact with customers to understand their insurance and investment requirements.
  • Recommend the most suitable products from the company's portfolio based on their financial goals.

3. Sales Closure & Documentation

  • Manage the complete sales process, including proposal form filling, medical coordination, documentation, and policy issuance.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.

4. Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships to promote renewals, referrals, and cross-selling.
  • Provide timely post-sale support and address customer queries efficiently.

5. Cross-Selling & Up-Selling

  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell or up-sell relevant insurance and investment products to existing customers.
  • Maximize overall business growth through strategic product recommendations.

6. Reporting & Compliance

  • Follow the company's sales processes and ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all regulatory and audit requirements.

7. Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate with branch staff, lead generators, and internal teams to ensure smooth client servicing and efficient operations.

Skills & Qualifications Required

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Business/Finance/Management or related field (required).
  • Minimum 1–4 years of experience in the Insurance industry,preferably in Life/Banking/Financial services.
  • Candidates with experience in life insurance , banking, cross selling or NBFC can be considered.
  • Proven track record in business development, client handling, and relationship management.
