Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role located in Bhopal. The Senior Accountant will handle a variety of accounting responsibilities, including preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The role involves overseeing budgeting processes, conducting financial analysis, and supporting audits. Collaboration with team members to improve financial reporting processes and delivering insights into company finances will also be key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management
  • Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
  • Skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Previous experience in a senior accounting role is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 
    end-to-end GST compliance
     – return filing (GSTR-1, 3B, 9, 9C), ITC reconciliation, and GST finalization.
  • Handle 
    GST notices, departmental queries, and correspondence
     with tax authorities.
  • Prepare and coordinate for 
    GST audits and assessments
    ; ensure timely responses and documentation.
  • Represent company in 
    GST hearings
     and liaise with consultants or advocates as needed.
  • Maintain accurate 
    GST records, reconciliations
    , and ensure timely tax payments.
  • Provide 
    management reports
     on GST liabilities, refunds, and compliance status.
  • Stay updated on 
    GST law changes
     and implement necessary process updates.

Qualifications:-

  • B. Com / M. Com / CA / CMA with 
    5–10 years' experience
     in accounting and GST compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of 
    GST laws, notices, audits, and assessments
    .
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred.
