Job Title: Financial and Business Analyst

Location: Mumbai

Reporting To: Founding Partner / Senior Consultant

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years post-qualification in similar roles

Qualification: MBA (Finance) / CFA or equivalent

Our clients include growthoriented companies across sectors looking for expert guidance in scaling operations, improving financial performance, or preparing for capital market access.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical professional with strong financial and business analysis capabilities to support our consulting engagements. The role requires working closely with partners to deliver actionable insights and robust financial models that drive strategic decisions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct strategic, operational, and financial analysis for clients across diverse sectors.
    • Prepare competitor benchmark analysis, market opportunity assessment, and business strategy evaluation.
  • Perform industry and regulatory research from various sources including databases, reports and AI tools.
  • Build detailed financial models, business forecasts, and valuation reports.
  • Support in transaction advisory, fundraising, and IPO readiness assignments.
  • Participate in client meetings, understand business models, and assist in preparing pitch decks, investment memos, and advisory presentations.
  • Collaborate with clients for data gathering and clarifications.
  • Assist in IPO advisory, business restructuring, due diligence support, and regulatory filings.
  • Leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Excel add-ins, analytics dashboards) to enhance productivity and insights.
  • Monitor financial KPIs, margins, and cost structures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Analyze business processes and identify improvement areas through data insights.
  • Provide actionable recommendations for revenue enhancement and cost reduction.
  • Track progress of strategic initiatives, prepare monthly/quarterly management reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Support internal stakeholders with custom reports, insights, and presentations.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of corporate finance and strategy.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); particularly financial modelling in Excel.
  • Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or SQL is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for productivity, analytics, or automation is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and within teams.

Preferred Background:

  • Prior experience in consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, or advisory services.
  • Exposure to SME clients, IPO process, SEBI regulations, or fundraising is advantageous.
  • Strong interest in working in a high-impact, entrepreneurial, and learning-driven environment.
