Specification Account Executive
to join our team in the
Chicago metropolitan area
. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive self-starter with a passion for lighting and controls to drive growth and build lasting relationships within the local specification community.
As a Specification Account Executive, you'll be responsible for promoting and securing the specification of PG Enlighten's cutting-edge lighting and control solutions for commercial projects throughout the Chicago market. You'll work closely with architects, interior designers, electrical engineers, and lighting designers, becoming a trusted resource and an expert in applying our technologies to meet their project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers within the Chicago-area specification community (architects, engineers, lighting designers, etc.).
- Proactively identify and pursue new project opportunities, presenting PG Enlighten's value proposition and tailored solutions.
- Educate and advise specifiers on the features, benefits, and applications of our comprehensive lighting and control product portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product development, and customer service, to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and objectives.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed and a proven ability to work independently.
- Established relationships within the local Chicago specification community for lighting and controls.
- Expertise in the applications of lighting and control solutions for commercial environments. You understand how these solutions impact design, functionality, and energy efficiency.
- Demonstrated success in similar specification sales roles within the lighting and controls industry.
- Experience in architectural, interior or lighting design is a plus, but not required.
