About Us
"We are Noah. We build awesome stuff."
Since 2014, Noah Infrastructures has been a leading Civil & Interior Contracting company in Chennai. We are not just contractors; we are a professionally run, design-to-build firm that bridges the gap between architectural vision and flawless construction. With a portfolio spanning Industrial, Institutional, Commercial, and Residential sectors, we pride ourselves on offering a one-stop solution—from concept to key handover.
We are driven by technology, integrity, and a passion for engineering. As we expand our footprint (including our Mumbai operations) and take on larger EPC and Turnkey projects, we are looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to steer our projects to success.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Operations Manager
to act as the backbone of our construction delivery. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of multiple project sites, ensuring that our "Design & Build" promise is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will bridge the gap between our in-house design teams (Architects/Engineers) and the execution teams on-site, ensuring seamless coordination. You will be responsible for optimizing resource allocation (manpower, machinery, and materials) and driving operational efficiency through digitization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Project Delivery & Execution
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of multiple construction projects (Civil & Interiors) from mobilization to handover.
- Translate design concepts and technical drawings into actionable site execution plans.
- Ensure all projects adhere strictly to the "Noah Standard" of quality, safety, and timeline.
- Monitor critical paths (CPM) using project management tools (MS Project/Primavera) and mitigate delays proactively.
2. Resource & Vendor Management
- Manage the deployment of Noah's asset fleet (construction machinery, formwork, and tools) across various sites to maximize utilization.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department to ensure timely procurement of materials, avoiding stock-outs or wastage.
- Oversee and negotiate with sub-contractors, labor agencies, and specialized vendors for turnkey execution (MEP, HVAC, Interiors).
3. Financial & Budget Control
- Work with the Quantity Surveying (QS) team to track project budgets vs. actuals in real-time.
- Implement cost-control measures to prevent leakage and ensure project profitability without compromising quality.
- Review and approve site expenses, subcontractor billing, and client progress invoicing.
4. Process Optimization & Technology
- Champion the use of construction management software/ERP to digitize site reporting (DPRs, material indents).
- Standardize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for site execution, quality checks, and safety protocols.
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement "Lean Construction" principles.
5. Stakeholder & Client Relations
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for clients during the construction phase, ensuring transparency and trust.
- Coordinate between the Head Office (Design/HR/Accounts) and Site Teams to ensure smooth information flow.
6. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations on all sites.
- Ensure all statutory compliances (labor laws, local body approvals) are met for ongoing projects.
Who We Are Looking For
- Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering. (M.Tech in Construction Management or MBA is a distinct advantage). - Experience:
10–15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial/leadership role handling multiple sites. - Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Project Management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of NBC (National Building Code) and quality standards (IS Codes).
- Experience with ERP systems for construction.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership capabilities to manage diverse teams (engineers, supervisors, labor force).
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to work under pressure.
Why Join Noah Infrastructures?
- Leadership Role:
Work directly with the company directors and shape the operational strategy of a fast-growing firm. - Diverse Portfolio:
Manage exciting projects ranging from high-end residential interiors to large-scale industrial PEB structures. - Professional Culture:
