Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented RT-PCR Lab Technician to perform advanced molecular diagnostic tests, including Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). The role involves handling biological samples, operating high-precision laboratory equipment, analyzing test results, and ensuring compliance with stringent quality and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Sample Management:
Receive, label, and catalog biological specimens.
Perform RNA/DNA extraction from various sample types.
RT-PCR Testing:
Prepare reagents and master mixes.
Operate RT-PCR equipment and conduct assays for diagnostic and research purposes.
Data Analysis & Documentation:
Interpret results, record findings, and prepare accurate reports.
Maintain lab records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Safety:
Adhere to biosafety guidelines and safety protocols.
- Participate in internal audits and training programs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
- Hands-on experience in RNA/DNA extraction and RT-PCR techniques.
- Strong knowledge of molecular biology and diagnostic workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy under deadlines.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) preferred.
