Job Description: Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes & Microservices)About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud DevOps Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes, microservices, and monitoring solutions to design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing applications on the Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), event-driven architecture, monitoring, and analytics pipelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters for hosting frontend and backend microservices.
  • Implement and maintain containerized applications (frontend UI pods, backend pods with sidecars).
  • Configure and manage Azure Event Bus for communication between microservices (pub/sub model).
  • Set up Azure NAT Gateway for secure outbound internet access for backend services.
  • Integrate Azure Notification Hubs / Twilio for delivering SMS, email, and push notifications.
  • Manage relational databases using Azure PostgreSQL and design schemas for transactional data.
  • Implement Azure Synapse Analytics for processing and analyzing large-scale datasets.
  • Use Azure Cosmos DB for auditing and storing non-relational data.
  • Configure Prometheus + Azure Monitor to collect and store logs and metrics.
  • Build and maintain Grafana Dashboards for monitoring and visualization.
  • Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and governance policies.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure high availability of cloud-native applications.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and container orchestration.
  • Strong expertise in microservices architecture and sidecar design patterns.
  • Knowledge of Azure Event Bus or equivalent messaging platforms (Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with Azure NAT Gateway and networking/security best practices.
  • Proficiency in Azure PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Monitoring experience using Prometheus, Azure Monitor, and Grafana.
  • Familiarity with notification services (Azure Notification Hubs, Twilio).
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Terraform/ARM templates, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Understanding of cloud security, compliance, and data privacy requirements.
  • Scripting/programming skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305, or Kubernetes certifications like CKA/CKAD).
  • Experience in DevSecOps practices.
  • Background in data engineering/analytics with Synapse.
  • Prior experience in large-scale enterprise microservices deployments.
