Job Role & Responsibility

· Environment Automation

o Build and manage Azure environments (Dev, Test, Stage, Prod) using

Terraform.

o Manage application configuration, feature flags, and secrets using Azure

Key Vault and Azure App Configuration.

o Automate provisioning and configuration of Azure services including Web

Apps, Function Apps, API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event

Grid, Storage Queues, and Redis Cache.

· Release Engineering

o Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or

equivalent) for PaaS workloads.

o Automate database migrations for Azure SQL (DACPAC/Flyway) and

Cosmos DB (containers, indexes, throughput).

o Integrate service dependencies (e.g., APIM routing policies, gateway

configuration) into release flows.

o Enforce security and quality gates (linting, test coverage, vulnerability

scans) within pipelines.

· Monitoring & Reliability

o Instrument releases with Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Azure

Monitor.

o Configure health probes and automated rollback gates to prevent faulty

deployments.

o Develop and maintain runbooks, rollback procedures, and disaster

recovery playbooks.

Operational Readiness

o Support releases through hypercare and ensure quick resolution of

incidents.

o Collaborate with development, QA, and operations to ensure stability

and compliance.

o Maintain documentation, audit trails, and compliance artifacts for

governance requirements.

Skills

· Hands-on experience with Azure PaaS services (Web Apps, Function Apps, API

Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Storage Queues, Redis Cache).

· Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for Azure.

· Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for application and

infrastructure releases.

· Practical expertise with Azure Key Vault and Azure App Configuration for

secrets and feature management.

· Experience automating Azure SQL and Cosmos DB schema and configuration

changes within pipelines.

· Proficiency in release instrumentation and observability with Application

Insights, Log Analytics, and Azure Monitor.

· Familiarity with Agile delivery practices, branching strategies, pull request

workflows, and release promotion.

· Experience with API gateway automation, including OAuth2, JWT, throttling, and routing policies.

· Exposure to observability frameworks and SRE golden signals (latency, traffic, errors, saturation).

· Background in large-scale integration or enterprise cloud environments.

Education and Certification

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or

equivalent experience).

· Azure certifications (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect,

or Security Engineer Associate) strongly preferred.

· Terraform Associate certification is a plus.
