Overview The API Developer plays a crucial role in our organization, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing APIs to enable seamless communication between different software applications and systems.   • Designing and developing high-quality APIs that adhere to best practices and standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and implement appropriate API solutions
  • Optimizing API performance and scalability to support the organization's growth
  • Ensuring the security of APIs by implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms
  • Documenting API functionalities, usage, and integration processes
  • Participating in code reviews and maintaining code quality across API implementations
  • Resolving API-related issues and troubleshooting technical problems
  • Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in API development
  • Working in an Agile environment and contributing to sprint planning and execution
  • Collaborating with frontend and backend developers to integrate APIs into various applications
  • Implementing API monitoring and analytics to track usage and performance metrics
  • Assisting in API versioning and backward compatibility management
  • Conducting thorough testing to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of APIs
  • Participating in designing and maintaining API infrastructure and governance
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in developing RESTful APIs and web services
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or
  • Strong understanding of JSON, XML, and other data interchange formats
  • Experience with API management platforms and tools
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols such as OAuth and API security best practices
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and working in Agile teams
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a cross-functional team environment
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and version control systems
  • Experience with API testing frameworks and tools
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex API-related issues
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and their integration with APIs
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and business needs
