Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and high-availability applications using Python. The ideal candidate will take ownership of complex features, mentor junior team members, and drive best practices across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development: Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of robust, scalable backend services and APIs primarily using Python and associated frameworks.

Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring solutions are secure, performant, and meet client requirements for large-scale systems.

Code Quality & Standards: Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code. Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high technical standards across the team.

Database Management: Work extensively with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) for complex data modeling and query optimization.

Cloud & DevOps: Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (preferably AWS) utilizing containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with CI/CD pipelines is essential.

Mentorship: Mentor and guide mid-level and junior developers, fostering skill growth within the team.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on professional experience as a software developer with a strong focus on Python.

Python Expertise: Deep expertise in Python 3.x and strong familiarity with its ecosystem. Working knowledge and experience of using AWS services in Python is mandatory.

Frameworks: Proven experience with at least one major Python web framework, such as Django or Flask(experience with both is a plus).

API Development: Extensive experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Testing: Solid understanding and practical experience with unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing frameworks (e.g., pytest).

Version Control: Proficiency with Git and standard branching/merging strategies.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills for complex, production-level issues.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Bonus Points)

Experience with asynchronous programming in Python (e.g., asyncio).

Familiarity with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.

Experience with NoSQL databases like Redis or Elasticsearch.

Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., React, ) is a plus, though this is primarily a backend role.

Certifications related to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Developer).
